SCRIPT 2 SCREEN

About Script 2 Screen

Script2Screen is an innovative program that gives students an opportunity to develop important life skills while also discovering the joys of filmmaking. Through Script2Screen, students learn important filmmaking skills, such as storytelling, screenwriting, acting, directing, cinematography, editing, animation, etc. The program encourages students’ collaboration with one another, while building their self-esteem, and providing them with a positive outlet for creativity and self-expression. Script2Screen believes every student has a voice deserving to be heard. Through film, Script2Screen helps students bring their ideas, thoughts, feelings and imaginations to life.

Script 2 Screen is a program tailored to each school and student groups’ specific needs. Through Script 2 Screen:

  • Students make their own film projects from start to finish – story development, acting, directing, etc.
  • Students are exposed to professional equipment, camera techniques and software.
  • Students increase their ability to work with others, build self-esteem and are given positive outlets for self-expression and creativity.

At the end of each Script 2 Screen program, students receive a DVD with their film project(s) and their final films will be featured at a Santa Clarita Valley Film Festival screening event for friends and family.

My granddaughter was never less than ecstatic after each film class. Her knowledge of film, whether stop motion animation, cartoon, claymation or live action is amazing and her appreciation of the act of filmmaking and attention to the detail of good story telling will help in any field she chooses.
